SAM BARRY is the author of the forthcoming book HOW TO PLAY. With his partner, author Kathi Kamen Goldmark, he writes a monthly column in BookPage "The Author Enablers." Sam is a marketing and promotions manager at HarperOne, a division of HarperCollins. He is also a musician and music teacher who tours with the all-author rock band, the Rock Bottom Remainders, and is a regular performer on the national radio show West Coast Live.


DAVID COLE has spent almost 30 years in book publishing with stints in editing, production, publicity, marketing, and management. His company, Bay Tree Publishing, focuses on nonfiction works in the areas of business, personal finance, psychology, health, and current affairs. He is the author of three nonfiction books, including The Complete Guide to Book Marketing. The Founder and first President of the San Francisco Bay Area Book Festival, he also served as an instructor in the University of California Extension certificate program in publishing. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Independent Book Publishers Association and the Northern California Book Publicity and Marketing Association.


ELISE CAPRON is an agent for the Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency--widely regarded as the best on the west coast. Their authors include Amy Tan, Kate White, Janell Cannon, and many more. KATHI KAMEN GOLDMARK is the author of AND MY SHOES KEEP WALKING BACK TO YOU, a novel; co-author of THE GREAT ROCK AND ROLL JOKE BOOK, and MID-LIFE CONFIDENTIAL: THE ROCK BOTTOM REMAINDERS TOUR AMERICA WITH THREE CHORDS AND AN ATTITUDE. She has worked in publishing as a media escort and publicist, and with Sam Barry, she writes a monthly aspiring-writer-advice column in BookPage called "The Author Enablers." Kathis is a 2007 San Francisco Library Laureate as well as winner of the 2008 Women's National Book Association award. She is also the founder and a member of the all-author rock band the Rock Bottom Remainders, and president and chief janitor of "Don't Quit Your Day Job" Records, Author Liaison for high-profile literary events, and producer of the radio show West Coast Live.


SCOTT HOFFMAN's fiction list is about half literary, and half commercial. If your project doesn't fit one of the "established" categories, he might be your guy.
